Blues guitarist singer/songwriter Jeff Lasley first picked up a guitar at age twelve, and cut his teeth on the Blues at the young age of seventeen.
It was a chance encounter with a Delta Blues street musician in Meridian, Mississippi during a stint in the Military in the 1970's that set Jeff on his life's path. "I had never seen or heard anything like it before,' he recalls. 'That day changed my life forever."
After his time in the service Jeff settled in the San Francisco Bay area, in 1981.Throughout the eighties he honed his skills as a guitarist and front man by attending jam sessions and playing with his band, the Road House Ramblers, in Blues bars around the Bay Area. It was during this time that Jeff had the opportunity to meet and see many of his heroes perform, including Albert King, Albert Collins, John Lee Hooker, Clarence "Gate Mouth" Brown and Brownie Magee.
After a ten-year hiatus that included a move back to Wisconsin and stints as a truck driver, engine mechanic, and blacksmith, Jeff found himself longing to return to what he does best...playing the Blues.
In 2001 he formed the Jeff Lasley Trio and for the next five years performed extensivley throughout the upper Midwest, releasing one album, "Electric Blue," to solid reviews in 2004. In 2006 Jeff released his debut solo album, "Devil Got My Mind," and is currently performing exclusively as a solo artist. His raw electric slide guitar, whiskey-drenched vocals and hard driving foot-stomp percussion have gained him praise from fans and critics alike.
