Nick and his crew burned up the stage at the Bragonier home last September with their scorching renditions of traditional and contemporary blues tunes. To better contain the anticipated blaze, we are proud to announce that The Rail House in Marinette WI will be hosting the long awaited return of this Chicago blues virtuoso. Nick Laramie, guitar/vocals, started playing in 1973. In the past 31 years of performing he has played close to 5000 shows; toured, and performed large festivals to small venues with some of music industries biggest names. He had toured extensively with AC Reed. AC Reed calls Nick his “number one guitarist to play with!” Nick has toured with Chicago west side legend Jimmy Dawkins all around the United States since 1995. The years of experience on the road has earned Nick Laramie the respect and admiration from the artists he has performed with. With his deep love of God and Music Nick is one of the best and versatile guitarists to ever play the instrument. Some of the other artists he has graced the stage with include, Sammy Fender, Jimmy Burns, Otis Rush, Nate Turner, Lonnie Brooks, and Eddie Clearwater. Backing up Nick this time around are the Transcendental Nomads. Formerly the Green Snowballs, this group will see a change of line up for the show. This includes veteran Chicago bluesmen, Willie (the touch) Hayes on drums, and Gary Duane White on harmonica. Rounding out the Nomads are local musicians Bruce Bragonier on bass and Harold Berg on guitar/vocals. Guest musicians expected to sit in and jam are vocalist Laura Blye and Keyboardist Kelly McGuire. This promises to be a night to remember!!! |
